Profile: Sharon has worked on many independent films and commercials. One of the very first films she worked on, “Victims”, was screened at Raindance Film Festival and went on to win awards at various US Festivals. The short film “Mano a Mono”, where Sharon had a lead role, premiered at Cannes in 2015 and went on to win many awards, including a nomination for ‘Best Actress’ at the Maverick Movie Awards in 2016. Sharon has also won ‘Best Actress in a Movie Scene’ from “I AM Film Awards” and has been nominated for an award at the London Festival in 2019, along with winning ‘British Actress of the Month’ in December 2017 awarded by The British Filmmakers Alliance.
Sharon has recently finished filming the independent film “Angel of Auschwitz” where she got to play the challenging role of Polish Doctor Janina Wegierska and is currently slated to play the role of Molly in the feature “Innocent Candy” .
Before becoming a professional actress, Sharon had a successful career in PR and Advertising, followed by a few years living and working in America. Upon her return, she pursued her dream of becoming a professional actress. Sharon trained at Rose Bruford College and is now a regular practitioner at the college, running lectures for the students.
Sharon Lawrence is being considered to play a very important role in an upcoming feature film that is entitled “The Bad Joke” and is directed by Bruno Pischiutta.
