Profile: Sofia Carvalho was born in Cascais, Portugal to Portuguese parents, Daniela Carvalho (a Clinical Psychologist) and Ricardo Carvalho (an IT Consultant). At the age of three the family moved to Ireland where she resides ever since. She’s proud of her Portuguese heritage but Ireland will always have a special place in her heart.

At the age of nine, after drama classes, she began acting at the local theatre and at the age of 11, after participating on iPOP in Los Angeles, she had the opportunity to star in some films and continue to chase her dream of becoming a movie star. Her first film appearance was in the 2023 short film “The Key” by award winning Director Danielle McCormick (Dani). She has starred in a few other short films, did the voice dub for the main character in the feature film “The Ghoul Haunting” and has her debut feature film as an actress next year in “The Trilogy” films by award winning director Bruno Pischiutta.
